A New Year To Come....

Christmas has come and gone! We had a wonderful Christmas!! My house is absolutely over flowing with toys, I won't complain because we are thankful! but man! Toys everywhere!! We are truly a blessed family and thank you, all of you!! We had a wonderful Christmas filled with lots of family time, baking, eating, presents, eating some more, the Christmas Story and again eating. I know just what my New Year resolution will be!
Santa brought Brittlee a Pink Doll house just to her specifications. As Santa was setting it up Christmas night he noticed that they family was African American..hmm how did that happen! Wondering if she would notice he sat it all up, ready to play. Christmas morning came and she exploded with sighs, loving all of her Christmas surprises! Never even to this day noticing the "Brown" family, as we lovingly call them. Lesson: Prejudice is LEARNED & TAUGHT not known at birth! Aww the innocence of a child, if we could only all keep a little of that.
Braydon enjoyed everything that he received as well. Have you ever noticed it's like getting into a Safe opening a perfectly packaged child's toy! By the time his gift of the moment was opened he was disinterested. Of course he came around but GEEZ! Come on toy company's do you have to make it so hard!??
Brady and I had a Very Merry Christmas as well, watching our kids is the best gift of all!!
2009 is approaching! We are excited about what the New Year will bring for our family! Braydon Wesley will turn 1 (I am wiping away a tear as I type that!) Brittlee will turn 4!, Start Pre-K & will continue her dancing. Brady is working for the Wallace's and we hope that is a permanent position. He will also be hitting the trail some. We will see how his early winter months go but I think he will be roping a lot more than he has the past 2 years. We will pray for his success!!
I am still working at Hillwood! With all the layoffs I have been a little worried about the security of my position. Just after the first of the year I will be moving to Monterra by Hillwood! I will lease apartments and whatever else they decide my job will include. I am so happy about the move and can't wait to get started. I am still thinking about heading back to school for a teaching degree but that will have to wait until the kids are a bit older.
Happy New Year to you ALL!
